Red Creek Fir Pale Ale 5%
This beer is named to honour and raise awareness of the little known Red Creek Fir, the largest Douglas Fir on the planet, located near Port Renfrew, Vancouver Island. Estimated at between 750 and 1000 years old, it is 74m tall, 4m in diameter, and incredibly still remains unprotected. Although steeped in much less traditon than the Red Creek Fir, this beer follows a local tradition of its own, being reminiscent of the classic Pale Ales of Vancouver Island. A true session beer it is smooth and drinkable, with moderate hop bitterness and a long, dry finish.
